Midfielder Jem Karacan began his second spell at The Den in August 2018, signing on a short-term deal having left Bolton Wanderers last season.

Jem started his footballing career at Wimbledon, before coming through as a scholar at Reading and signing a professional contract in 2007. The midfield man gained first-team football on loan at Bournemouth before spending time at The Den for two months in 2008.

After signing for his father's boyhood club, Galatasaray, Jem spent two years in Istanbul as well as enjoying a loan stint at Bursaspor, before spending just under 18 months back in the Sky Bet Championship with Bolton.

Jem has represented Turkey through the ranks to U21 level, as well as donning the red shirt for his nation's A2 side.
