Date of birth
Goalkeeper Ben Amos arrived at The Den in summer of 2018 on a season-long loan deal from fellow Sky Bet Championship side Bolton Wanderers.
Amos spent 14 years at Manchester United as a youngster, including seven seasons as a professional.
The stopper made his senior United debut in a League Cup tie in 2008, was part of the FIFA Club World Cup-winning squad of the same year and appeared in the Premier League for the Red Devils in 2012.
After making his name in loan stints with the likes of Oldham Athletic and Hull City, Amos signed a deal with Bolton in 2015. Following a term as number one at the Macron Stadium, the goalkeeper signed on loan for Cardiff City in 2016, before a further temporary deal at Charlton Athletic, where he starred in every league match throughout last season as his side reached the Sky Bet League One play-offs.
Along with his club achievements, Amos has also represented England between the sticks through the ranks to Under-21 level.
Amos’ string of impressive performances at The Valley and his pedigree at a high level attracted plenty of potential suitors for this year, before Neil Harris secured his signature in pre-season.
