Olaofe's Play-Off bid falls agonisingly short

The final Loan Watch...

9 May 2022

Isaac Olaofe's loan spell at Sutton United is at an end after the Gander Green Lane outfit fell one point short of the Sky Bet League Two Play-Offs during last weekend's final day of the 2021/22 season.

The striker played 90 minutes in Sutton's 2-0 victory at Harrogate Town, but due to positive results for Mansfield Town, Swindon Town and Port Vale, The U's finished their first season at EFL level one point and one place outside the top seven.

Alex Mitchell, meanwhile, played the final 24 minutes of his loan spell at Leyton Orient from the substitute's bench as he replaced Darren Pratley in The O's 1-0 home defeat to Tranmere Rovers. The East London outfit ended the campaign in 13th place in the fourth tier.

Both players will return to The Lions ahead of the beginning of pre-season training for the 2022/23 season next month.
