Ten-man Under 23s suffer home defeat

Millwall's Under 23s were defeated 2-0 at home by Ipswich Town in the Professional Development League on Tuesday afternoon.

After a goalless first-half, The Tractor Boys took the lead shortly after the break, with Kevin Nugent's side reduced to 10 men after Tyrese Briscoe was shown a straight red card.

In their attempts to score a late equaliser, The Lions were then hit on the break by the visitors in second-half stoppage-time as they scored a second to seal all three points.

Daniel Ballard played 45 minutes against the Suffolk outfit as he made his first appearance after returning from a long-term injury sustained in November.

Next up for Millwall's Under 23s is a trip to Bristol City on Tuesday 22nd February.
