Millwall welcome Sheffield United to The Den in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm) - and the visit of The Blades will see the club host the annual 'Jimmy's Day', in memory of Jimmy Mizen.
Lions fan Jimmy was tragically murdered in Lee, London on 10th May 2008, aged just 16.
This year, on 9th May, Jimmy would have been celebrating his 30th birthday. As such, both Millwall and Sheffield United's players will be wearing 'Mizen Foundation' t-shirts to warm-up in, with the number 30 and Jimmy’s name on the back. Everyone at Millwall thanks The Blades for their backing towards the event.
Bucket collections will be held around the ground prior to kick-off at Saturday's game - from around 1pm - whilst Barry Mizen, husband of Margaret and father of Jimmy, will also address the crowd before the match gets underway.
Further information on the outstanding work of the Mizen Foundation, such as the 'Sparkle Award', which promotes the good in young people, the return of the '21 Bridges' challenge after the COVID-19 pandemic and much more can be found in this weekend's matchday programme.
