Millwall host Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship at The Den this Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm) - and the afternoon will see the club mark its annual 'Memorial Day' prior to the match getting underway.
Memorial Day will see the club remember supporters who passed away in 2021. Millwall fans are advised to take to their seats early before the start of the match, with the following occuring before kick-off against The Bluebirds:
- Lions captain Shaun Hutchinson will carry a wreath out from the tunnel, which will then be placed inside the centre-circle
- After the regular pre-match presentations, both sets of players will line-up around the centre-circle, with the referee's whistle beginning a minute of applause. At the same time, a 60-second video will play on the big screen, featuring all names sent in to the club
- The referee's whistle will end the minute of applause, with the wreath then placed behind the goal at Cold Blow Lane end
Millwall's players will also wear black armbands, whilst all names sent in will also feature in Saturday's matchday programme.
