Deadline day signing Luke Freeman discussed a "hectic" 24 hours when speaking to following his loan move to The Lions.

The 29-year-old became a part of Gary Rowett's side for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign on Tuesday, joining Oliver Burke as the second addition from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

All parties were made to wait for official confirmation of the transfer, which finally arrived prior to Millwall's Sky Bet Championship meeting with Preston North End.

"It's been pretty hectic!" Freeman told "We got the deal over the line just before the deadline. I'm delighted to be here. I've learned a lot about the lads and the gaffer, so I'm looking forward to being a part of it all."

Previously at the likes of Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers, the loanee, who can play in central/attacking midfield or on either flank, expressed a desire to work with Gary Rowett, as well as explaining what he can offer the club between now and the end of the campaign.

"The manager has been looking at me for a while now, but the feeling is mutual. We've crossed paths a lot, I'm looking forward to working with him.

"I want to help the team and get some more minutes myself. I hope I can help the lads with some creativity and bring some goals and assists. I can't wait to get out there."

Freeman will join his new team-mates for training for the first time on Thursday.
