Transfer deadline day signing Sheyi Ojo is in the building - and is looking forward to his time with The Lions.
The 24-year-old became Gary Rowett's sixth summer signing on Tuesday night and will spend the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season in SE16.
Speaking to millwallfc.co.uk on his first day of training, the Liverpool man expressed his desire to play football and help the team in any way he can between now and May 2022.
"It's my first day here and all the boys have been very welcoming," he said. "I've spoken to the gaffer briefly as well and he has said positive things, so it's been a good day and I'm looking forward to it.
"We spoke on the phone [before the move] and he said he really likes me as a player and has watched me for a couple of years now. He said he wants to give me the platform to express myself and show what I can do. The most important thing for me is to play football and show what I can do, and I'm thankful to Millwall who have given me the platform to do that."
When asked what he will bring to the table, Ojo added: "Courage to get on the ball as much as I can, beat players and get a few goals and assists. I want to help my team in any way I can. I've been a team player over the last few years and I'm looking to do that again and progressing even further."
