Millwall Football Club will show its appreciation to NHS staff members at Lewisham Hospital this Wednesday evening.
As The Lions prepare for the visit of Bristol City, 1,000 match tickets have been donated by the club to NHS workers at its local hospital as a small thank you for all the hard work and dedication they selflessly show day in and day out.
Millwall Football Club is proud to play an integral role within our diverse community, supporting people from all backgrounds in local areas and beyond.
Most recently the Millwall Community Trust signed a formal agreement with Lewisham College to support young people in Lewisham and the surrounding area to break into media, sports journalism and marketing.
Steve Kavanagh, Millwall Football Club CEO, said: "The impact of COVID-19, on top of their normal duties, has put a incredible strain on all NHS workers who have worked endless hours throughout the pandemic to keep us safe. We hope this gesture enables staff members at Lewisham Hospital to enjoy a much deserved night off from work to enjoy the football, and we will be honoured to be joined by them at The Den."
