Shaun Hutchinson enjoyed being back at the heart of Millwall's defence on Saturday afternoon - and praised the club's backroom staff for their help in his recovery.
The 30-year-old featured in The Lions' first two matches of the 2021/22 campaign - at Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship and then at home to Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup - before picking up an injury that would keep him out of action for six weeks.
The centre-back, however, played 65 minutes during last Wednesday night's Carabao Cup fixture against Leicester City before putting in a typically solid display in Saturday's 1-1 draw at the City Ground.
"I really enjoyed it," Hutchinson told millwallfc.co.uk. "I've missed a good part of the season so far, but I've worked hard with the physio and fitness departments to get myself back and I felt good out there."
On the subject of the game, the defender added: "It's frustrating to pick up another draw - we're as frustrated as anyone - but I thought we were really unfortunate. We were brilliant in the first-half, a really good and solid away performance. We got the goal and could have had a couple more.
"We started the second-half poorly and let them get a bit of momentum, which wasn't great, but I didn't feel we were under any real threat of conceding. That goal hit us out of nowhere. We went flat for a while but ended the game strong. We had a right go and gave everthing we had."
