Daniel Ballard is currently away on international duty with Northern Ireland - but explained how The Lions would "work" and "improve" over the break after last weekend's win over Blackpool.
Jed Wallace's sublime free-kick and Jake Cooper's last-minute winner secured a first three points of the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season against 10-man Tangerines last Saturday, who had Callum Connolly sent off early on before going 1-0 up through Shayne Lavery's goal.
The relief on all Millwall faces following the defender's 90th-minute header was clear to see, and the defender told millwallfc.co.uk after the game of the need to get over the line in SE16 by any means necessary.
"We needed that good feeling going into the international break, no matter how we got it," he said. "We can go away with a few points on the board and use that to work on and improve with."
The Arsenal loanee is now with the Green and White Army for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Switzerland, with a friendly in Estonia sandwiched in between.
"I'm really excited and looking forward to going away. It's nice to get away with the lads, having a change of environment and playing against some of the best players in the world. It's a real step up playing on that stage and I'm really looking forward to it."
