Kevin Nugent praised his side's second-half performance as Millwall's Under 23s were 3-1 victors over Swansea City on Tuesday afternoon.
The Swans held a 1-0 lead at the break, but late goals from Tyrese Briscoe and Jayden Davis (2, 1 pen) ensured The Lions' 100% home record in the Professional Development League stays in tact.
"We went in at half-time 1-0 down, and deservedly so," Nugent told millwallfc.co.uk. "It wasn't one of our better performances in every aspect. However, we stayed in the game and got to grips with things, pressing a lot higher and playing with more energy, tempo and intent.
"We kept getting chances without making the goalkeeper work, so we had to keep going - but credit to the lads, they did just that until they got the first goal. Then it just went from there.
"We had a lot of possession in the second-half, but there is always that opportunity to get done on the counter-attack when you're so on top. We were relentless at the end and the lads deserved the victory. I'm delighted to see Tyrese and Jayden on the scoresheet, too."
