Play-Off heartbreak for Mitchell's Ravens

The final episode of Loan Watch...

7 June 2021

Alex Mitchell's loan spell at Bromley came to an end on Sunday afternoon as The Ravens were defeated 3-2 by Hartlepool United in a Vanarama National League Play-Off eliminator at Victoria Park.

The towering defender played his part in both of the Kent side's goals, firstly assisting James Alabi shortly after the resumption, before a combination of himself and Byron Webster forced the ball over the line in stoppage-time to set up a frantic finale.

That made the score-line 3-2, however, a mad seven minutes in the first-half cost The Ravens their place in a Semi-Final against Stockport County, as goals from Rhys Oates (2) and Luke Armstrong put The Monkey Hangers three to the good.

Mitchell will now return to The Lions ahead of the beginning of pre-season training later this month.
