Millwall Football Club is pleased to announce that Alex Pearce has put pen-to-paper on a new contract at The Den for the 2021/22 season.
The 32-year-old defender has made 72 appearances since arriving at the club - initally on loan - from Derby County in January 2019, and the experienced Pearce will now continue to be a part of Gary Rowett's first-team squad plans.
Beginning his career at Reading, Pearce spent time on loan at Northampton Town, Norwich City, AFC Bournemouth and Southampton before joining The Rams in June 2015. After another loan spell - this time at Bristol City - the centre-back signed for The Lions before making the move permanent in the summer of 2019.
Pearce has scored one goal for the club, in an FA Cup Quarter-Final against Brighton & Hove Albion at The Den in March 2019.
