Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of George Saville from Middlesbrough.
The 28-year-old midfielder returns to SE16 for an undisclosed fee, penning a long-term contract.
Saville's career began at Stamford Bridge in the Chelsea youth set-up, before a loan move to The Lions handed him his first professional start in 2013, where he appeared three times.
Loan moves to Brentford and Bristol City followed, as did a three-year spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, which included a temporary move back to The Den - one which was followed by a permanent move in the summer of 2017.
In The Lions' first season back at Sky Bet Championship level after winning the League One Play-Offs, Saville hit the back of the net 10 times in a campaign which saw the midfielder play 50 times, earning international recognition with Northern Ireland in the process.
A multi-million pound move to Middlesbrough arose in August 2018, but after three years away, Saville now returns to The Den as Gary Rowett's fifth summer signing.
