Danny McNamara's family are eager to see their man in action - but they will have to wait just a little longer before doing so.
The right-back has been a regular in The Lions' matchday squad since the turn of the year, but owing to COVID restrictions, the 22-year-old is yet to show off his skills in front of the McNamara clan.
With the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship fixtures now released, Millwall will host Blackburn Rovers in their first game in front of supporters for over eight months - and Danny has already been inundated with requests.
"I've already been asked by family members to get tickets for the game - they're not even on sale yet!" he told millwallfc.co.uk. "All of them will be there, as will my friends. I'm sure it'll be a good atmosphere, the fans will be behind us no matter what happens. I can't wait to play in front of them."
Returning to pre-season training last week, the right-back is looking to "build" on a successful 2020/21 over the next year.
"It's good to be back - I can't wait to get the season started. We've been off for a while but the lads have come back fit and ready.
"I want to build on last season, that was the stepping stone. It's going to be a good season, I want to do even better. I didn't think I've had such an impact that early on, I didn't expect to get so many games so early, so that was a massive bonus for me."
