Millwall Football Club is pleased to announce a new partnership with LightForce – an esteemed provider of laser therapy equipment in the sports industry.
LightForce’s logo will now feature on the physiotherapy lead’s training and matchday kit as the club’s medical and sports science staff utilise the company’s ground-breaking equipment day-to-day at Calmont Road.
Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused infrared light energy to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation (PBM), resulting in a decrease in pain and improved microcirculation to injured tissue. Laser therapy is used to treat acute and chronic conditions as well as pre and post-activity recovery. Examples of commonly treated conditions include muscle strains and tears, contact injuries, shoulder and back pain, plantar fasciitis, and tendinopathies.
Stuart Lock, Millwall’s commercial director, said: “We’re very happy to welcome LightForce into the Millwall family and look forward to working closely with the team there in the months ahead.
“This partnership will help take elements of our physiotherapy and sport science operations to the next level and we’re excited to see the benefits.”
Dorian Cook, LightForce’s UK manager, added: “LightForce is very proud to support Millwall Football Club and provide their athletes with the best laser technology to expedite recovery times and optimise player performance on the field.”
