Arthur's Run

A heroic effort in the build-up to Christmas...

21 December 2021

At 3.06pm on Saturday 4th December, everyone inside The Den rose to their feet to honour the life of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, who tragically lost his life at the age of just six.

Millwall defeated Birmingham City 3-1 in the Sky Bet Championship that day - and 'Arthur's Run', an initiative by Lions fan Pete Millington-Lee was born.

Arthur's Run is a project devised to deliver hope to children in care in the Birmingham area this Christmas. Originally, Pete was scheduled to collect toys, nappies, bedding, food and more before The Lions' game against Preston North End last weekend, but the collection still went ahead despite the postponement of the fixture.

Local sides Solihull Moors and Frimley Green became involved, with a incredible set of donations put together, totalling 581 toys, 353 items for Baby Aid Birmingham and 56 food items for Sparkhill Foodbank.
