All the news in one place...

6 August 2021

It's been an incredibly busy week at The Den as preparations for the 2021/22 season ramp up to the maximum - so much so, you might have missed some of the main talking points from the last seven days!

Fear not, however, as millwallfc.co.uk wraps up the last week in one bite-sized article...

After a pre-season friendly victory at Ipswich Town last Saturday, it was confirmed that Millwall's Sky Bet Championship trip to Bristol City on Sunday 2nd January 2022 will now kick-off at 1pm.

The Lions confirmed their squad numbers shortly after, with Tuesday's Fans' Forum seeing supporters attend the SE16 Bar to pitch their questions to Gary Rowett and Steve Kavanagh.

The campaign to defend Millwall's Cancer Deadline Day title got underway, with the club also re-launching Sensory Packs for the forthcoming campaign, with the EFL moving to provide clarity on iFollow streaming as things moved back to pre-pandemic procedures.

As tickets for The Lions' Sky Bet Championship game at The Den against Blackburn Rovers went on sale it was confirmed that areas of The Den would go cashless for the new season.

Connor Mahoney and Matt Smith found the net as the club finished its pre-season friendly campaign with a success over Bromley on Wednesday afternoon, with further updates from Kavanagh and Rowett published ahead of The Lions reiterating their anti-discrimination stance on Friday morning.

Finally, just 24 hours before the season opener at Queens Park Rangers, Ryan Leonard put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract at The Den.
