Gary Rowett expressed his pleasure at seeing fans back inside The Den after Tuesday night's 2-1 Carabao Cup First Round victory over Portsmouth.
Scott Malone and George Saville found the net as The Lions overturned Reeco Hackett-Fairchild's early opener, and the boss told millwallfc.co.uk his thoughts on the evening's eventful encounter.
"It was brilliant to play the first home game," he said. "The fans came out in their numbers, which was good to see. That's why we went quite strong with the team.
"We started with a bit of an edge - it was a good finish from their player early on. But I thought we dealt with that quite well, once we started to be patient and move the ball. I was pretty pleased with most of the first-half, we scored two good goals - a great finish from Scotty and an excellent finish from Sav, he really has to adjust his feet and find the corner.
"I was disappointed with the last 20 minutes, however, when we could've made it easier."
