Connor Mahoney (pen) and Matt Smith hit the target as Millwall rounded off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Bromley at Calmont Road on Wednesday afternoon.
In a game that saw three 30-minute periods played, Mahoney beat the goalkeeper from the penalty spot after a handball to open the scoring on 17 minutes, with Smith rising highest to nod home Mahlon Romeo's cross with 53 minutes on the clock.
Gary Rowett gave minutes to the likes of Alex Mitchell, Ben Thompson, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Tom Bradshaw against The Ravens, and it was the Icelander who twice was involved in the early stages, but his cross - turned home by Smith - with just five minutes played was ruled out by an offside flag. Bodvarsson then set up Ryan Leonard to cross four minutes later, but Smith glanced wide.
With 17 minutes gone, The Lions were awarded a penalty-kick after a Mahoney cross was blocked by a Bromley arm, with the winger stepping up to take the penalty and send the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 1-0.
Halfway through the second period came the second, as Romeo's run down the right-hand side saw the right-back cross for the head of Smith, who made no mistake in nodding home from close range.
Bradshaw was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet three minutes later, with a smart stop from a few yards out denying the attacker a goal, before it looked as though Millwall had a third in the bag - and Smith a second - with 17 minutes to play, but after the striker headed a corner seemingly over the line, the officials decided against giving a goal.
Youngsters Besart Topalloj, Jayden Davis, Nana Boateng and Dan Moss all played a part in the final minutes of the game.
