Burey begins loan spell with match-winning assist

The first edition of Loan Watch...

9 August 2021

Tyler Burey's loan spell at Hartlepool United began in perfect fashion last weekend as the winger provided the assist for Gavan Holohan to score an 88th-minute winner against Crawley Town at Victoria Park.

Burey, on loan with The Monkey Hangers until January 2022, was a 61st-minute replacement for Olufela Olomola and instantly endeared himself to the Poolies with his vital piece of play late on.

Elsewhere, Hayden Muller played the full game as Callum Davidson's St Johnstone began their Scottish Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Motherwell.

Stephen O'Donnell's own-goal gave The Saints the lead at McDiarmid Park, but Tony Watt equalised 10 minutes from time to ensure a share of the spoils.
