Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that Billy Mitchell has put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract at The Den.
The 20-year-old, a Millwall fan from birth, has made 23 appearances for The Lions since his debut at Wigan Athletic on the final day of the 2018/19 season, and will now be a part of the club's plans for the forseeable future.
After his showing from the bench at the DW Stadium, Mitchell went on to make appearances in the Carabao Cup - at Oxford United - and Emirates FA Cup - against Newport County in SE16 - before playing seven further Sky Bet Championship games under Gary Rowett in 2019/20, in which he was named as The Lions' Young Player of the Year.
The 2020/21 campaign has seen the midfielder go from strength to strength after returning from injury, playing 12 times to date in the heart of Millwall's engine room.
