Millwall Football Club wishes to politely ask all supporters to stay away from The Den on matchdays while the 2019/20 season is completed over the coming weeks.
The Lions host Derby County in SE16 this Saturday in what is the first game back since the suspension of professional sporting competition due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Because of the ongoing pandemic and current government and health guidance and regulations, all remaining matches will be played behind-closed-doors.
The club would love nothing more than to have the stadium full of Millwall fans roaring their team on to success but is calling on everyone to respect the current rules and stay away from The Den and its surrounding areas.
Failure to do so would potentially divert vital services away from existing tasks and operations, which is especially important given the current climate, and any sort of gatherings outside or close to the stadium would also put the team at risk of having to play further home matches at neutral venues.
All season ticket holders will be able to watch the remaining nine fixtures live on iFollow as per previous communications from the club.
Non-season ticket holders will also be able to watch Saturday’s game on iFollow by purchasing a Match Pass, which costs £10 if you’re in the UK and £5 for international fans. Click here to buy yours.
While we can’t be together as one just yet, completing the current season is a crucial step forward in terms of getting crowds back into football stadiums as soon as possible. Your ongoing co-operation over the next few weeks will be imperative to that.
The club would like to thank all Millwall supporters for your unrivalled loyalty, support and understanding.
Come on you Lions!
