Shaun Hutchinson has claimed that Millwall will be "ready to go" for Friday's local derby against Charlton Athletic.
The Lions face The Addicks at The Valley LIVE on Sky Sports (kick-off 8.15pm), with Gary Rowett's men set to line up for their third fixture inside six days during a relentless period to end the 2019/20 campaign.
Millwall's behind-closed-doors performances have steadily improved since the resumption of the game a fortnight ago, but they are still looking for their first three points this side of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hutchinson, speaking after Tuesday evening's 1-1 draw with Swansea City, explained how his side would not need any extra motive to compete on Friday night.
"It's a local derby and there's a record on the line - I know a Millwall team hasn't lost in a long time," he told millwallfc.co.uk. "The boys don't need any motivation for that one. There's a short turnaround, but we'll be resting up and ready to go for it."
Midweek results mean that Millwall currently sit five points outside the top six - and the 29-year-old stressed that The Lions will do all they can to make sure the season goes all the way to the final game.
"We don't want to be in a position where the season just fizzles out, we want there to be something to play for. We're going to need some results to go our way, but we'll try to win as many as we can for the rest of the season and see where that puts us."
