New Millwall loan signing Ryan Woods is raring to go in a Lions shirt.
The midfielder put pen-to-paper on a loan deal until the end of the season on Friday morning and told millwallfc.co.uk of his delight at sealing a move to The Den.
The 26-year-old joins from Stoke City after a career which has taken in Shrewsbury Town and Brentford, and possesses a wealth of Sky Bet Championship experience.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be here," he said. "It's been a frustrating period for me over the last few months, but I'm pleased to get the deal done and can't wait to get going.
"The lads and the club are doing a great job in the League at the moment, and hopefully I can come and add to that."
Woods becomes Gary Rowett's first signing as Millwall manager, and the loanee credited the Lions boss as a reason behind the move - as well as stating what he can bring to the party.
"I know Gary and the staff really well and he played a big part in getting me here. I've played against a lot of the lads before as well, so hopefully it will be easy for me to settle in and get going as quickly as possible.
"I'd like to think that I will add a bit of composure on the ball and have a decent range of passing. I'll always give 110% and let the fans and the club be the judge of my performances."
The midfielder has made 12 appearances so far in 2019/20 - eight in The Championship - but has played just once since 7th December; The Potters' Emirates FA Cup Third Round defeat to former club Brentford.
Woods, however, is chomping at the bit to get going.
"I'm raring to go. I've missed the last six or seven matches, so my match fitness may be different, but I played the six or seven before that. Hopefully I can go straight in."
