Gary Rowett has praised Millwall's support ahead of Saturday's Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Sheffield United at The Den on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm) - and is banking on The Lions' faithful to roar the squad through to Round Five.

Millwall welcome Chris Wilder's Premier League side to SE16 this weekend, and the manager told of just how influential the support inside The Den can be in gaining victory over their opponents.

"The fans will make a huge difference," he said. "If they get behind the team, as they have done in every game so far, particularly if the game is 0-0 or we are behind, [their support] really does drive the players forward.

"The players always talk about it; "how good were the fans today", or "how good was the atmosphere" - you can't undervalue it. It's a difficult one because of the extra cash needed to attend an FA Cup fixture, but I hope the fans come down in their numbers and get behind the team."

On the game, Rowett believes that The Blades will pose a "big challenge" and won't possess a slack mentality given their recent spell in The Championship.

"It'll be another good game and another different type of game. Sheffield United are a Premier League side but I don't think they'll come with that mentality that sometimes you hope they do. I'm sure they'll be well prepared. It'll be another big challenge for us."
