Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that Shaun Hutchinson has put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract at The Den.
The 29-year old has made 119 appearances and scored eight goals since his arrival at the club in the summer of 2016, and will now remain a huge part of The Lions' defence for years to come.
After overcoming injury early on in his Millwall career, Hutchinson formed a partnership with Jake Cooper in the heart of The Lions' back-line, featuring heavily as the club won the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs with victory over Bradford City at Wembley Stadium - with a memorable header at Bristol Rovers weeks previously writing the defender's name into history.
Hutchinson has been a mainstay in the side from there and has made 20 appearances so far in 2019/20, scoring three times, including the opener in a 2-1 win over local rivals Charlton Athletic in November.
