Preview | Stoke City v Millwall

A trip to ST4 awaits...

10 January 2020

Millwall travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

The Lions head into the fixture in positive spirits, progressing into the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend, and are currently unbeaten in five on the road, meaning Gary Rowett's men are full of confidence going into the second-half of the season.

After sacking Nathan Jones in November, The Potters have improved significantly following the appointment of experienced manager, Michael O'Neill. Since taking over in ST4, O'Neill's side have picked up wins against Barnsley, Wigan Athletic, Luton Town, Sheffield Wednesday and most recently, an emphatic 5-3 victory away at Huddersfield Town.

Rowett made six changes to his starting XI last time out against Newport County in Millwall's Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie and could be set to mix things up once again against Stoke. Mahlon Romeo and Shaun Williams were rested last weekend and could make a return, whilst Tom Bradshaw and Jed Wallace were named among the substitutes and could find themselves back in the line-up.

Aiden O'Brien [ankle] is the only fresh injury concern for Rowett's side, with Ryan Leonard [knee] and Ben Thompson [ankle] still absent.

Tickets for the trip are now off sale, so if you are unable to make the journey, then full match commentary will be available on iFollow Millwall, with coverage beginning at around 2.55pm.
