Preview | Millwall v Bristol City

Leap day at The Den...

28 February 2020

Millwall host Bristol City at The Den in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

After Wednesday's goalless draw in SE16 against Birmingham City, The Lions currently sit six points outside the division's top six and meet a side between them and the Play-Off spots in The Robins this weekend.

Gary Rowett made one change to his starting XI on Wednesday as Mason Bennett made his home debut, but the manager could decide to shake things up further in a bid to find the back of the net. Both Tom Bradshaw and Matt Smith stepped off the bench against The Blues and could feature, whilst Shane Ferguson, Aiden O'Brien and Connor Mahoney were also named as substitutes.

Frank Fielding and Ben Thompson will miss out, whilst the fitness of Shaun Williams and Ryan Leonard will be assessed before kick-off.

Tickets for Saturday's game will be on sale up until kick-off, but if you are unable to make it to SE16 then full match commentary will be available on iFollow Millwall, with coverage beginning at around 2.55pm. International subscribers will be able to watch all the action on iFollow - click here for more details.

There is plenty going on around the ground before kick-off this weekend: from 12.30pm, a plaque to remember Fusilier Lee Rigby will be unveiled, whilst The Lions will also showcase the outstanding work done by St Christopher's Hospice. Furthermore, Millwall's Family Fun Zone will be back in action, with a DJ also present at the SE16 Bar before kick-off.

Leonard appears on the front of the matchday programme - on sale around the stadium before kick-off for just £3 - as the midfielder talks about his frustrating campaign, hindered by injury, and his hopes for the future alongside the usual stats, facts and features.

Bennett, meanwhile, has been speaking to millwallfc.co.uk in the build-up to Saturday's game, and you can hear what the loanee had to say by clicking here.
