Sean O'Brien, Abdul Abdulmalik and Tyrese Briscoe were on target as Millwall's Under 18s won a dramatic FA Youth Cup Fifth Round tie 3-2 at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
O'Brien lashed home from 20 yards out just six minutes in to give The Lions the lead before Abdulmalik doubled the advantage, but two quick-fire goals from Euan Pollock and Khavarn Williams saw the game become level.
Briscoe, however, stepped off the bench to win the game and put Millwall in the last eight.
Larry McAvoy and Chris Perry named the usual suspects in the starting XI, including Alex Mitchell, captain Hayden Muller and goalscorers from the Fourth Round win over Fleetwood Town, O'Brien and Abdulmalik.
The action began in the first minute as referee Dale Wootton was left with no option but to hand Millwall a penalty after Nana Boateng was brought down - O'Brien stepped up but his effort was well saved by Cameron Plain in the Bournemouth goal.
O'Brien tried again from a dead-ball situation, this time a free-kick, but could not find the net - however, just minutes later the striker scored after beating Plain at his near post.
The Lions were comfortable and Leighton Fanshawe was a relative bystander as the first-half wore on, as Millwall peppered The Cherries' goal with efforts from Jacob Munting, Muller and more, but the next real action in front of goal came two minutes into the second-half as a frightening burst of pace from Abdulmalik saw him leave two Bournemouth defenders in his dust before lifting the ball over Plain for the visitors' second of the evening.
The game quickly became less comfortable for The Lions, though, as Bournemouth hit two goals in three minutes to restore parity - substitute Pollock fired home on 66 minutes before Williams found the net on 69 minutes - but with extra-time looming, a substitute of The Lions' own, Briscoe, combined with Abdulmalik before scoring the winner with just 10 minutes remaining.
Millwall are now in the Quarter-Finals of the FA Youth Cup and a trip to either Chelsea or Wolverhampton Wanderers awaits, with the two clubs doing battle on Monday 10th February.
