Millwall Football Club is delighted to confirm the double signing of Scott Malone and Mason Bennett from Derby County.
Malone arrives on a season-long loan deal, whilst Bennett signs for Millwall on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old left-back, who played for The Lions between 2012-15, and the 24-year-old attacker, who scored two goals in nine games whilst on loan last season, become Gary Rowett's third and fourth summer signings.
Malone began his career as a trainee at Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving to AFC Bournemouth after loan spells at Southend United and Burton Albion, working under Rowett at the latter.
The Lions came calling in 2012, and after three years, 71 appearances and five goals, the defender opted for a move to Wales and Cardiff City, before moving back to London and Fulham.
In 2017, Malone's first taste of Premier League football came through a transfer to Huddersfield Town, but after one season with The Terriers, the former Lion embarked on the next part of his career at Pride Park. Now, however, Malone comes back to SE16 to bolster Rowett's options ahead of the 2020/21 camapign.
Meanwhile, Bennett's pace and power ensured he quickly became a fan favourite during his loan spell at the club, with the attacker scoring twice in nine matches, against Swansea City and Blackburn Rovers.
Bennett joins The Lions' attacking options for the new season.
