Millwall Football Club can now reveal information surrounding the streaming of matches during the upcoming 2020/21 season.
The new campaign will kick-off behind-closed-doors and current governmental guidance dictates that supporters will not be permitted entry back into grounds until October 1st at the earliest, apart from any specially selected test events. Millwall’s first home game in October is on Tuesday 20th against Luton Town which - as things stand - will be accessible to Lions fans, albeit as part of a reduced capacity in line with the latest COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
Before then, Millwall’s opening two home fixtures, against Stoke City and Brentford on September 12th and 26th respectively, will be played behind-closed-doors and the club can confirm that all 2020/21 season ticket holders will therefore be given codes to watch both matches on iFollow. Please note, however, in the unlikely scenario that one or both of those two games are selected as a test event then any fans picked to attend will not receive a code. The process behind distributing those streaming codes will be communicated in due course.
Any fixtures not selected for live coverage on Sky Sports will be available for ALL fans to purchase on iFollow at the regular Match Pass price of £10.
The club remains in constant dialogue with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and other parties as it continues to work through solutions which will ultimately lead to the largest possible capacity when Lions fans can return to matches. The Den’s new capacity will not be determined only by social distancing measures inside the stands, but also by the size of the stadium bowl, its concourses, access and egress routes and procedures and much more.
Finalised plans – including details of when season tickets will go back on sale and the selling strategy – will be announced as soon as possible.
The club would like to remind supporters that the Ticket Office and its call centre remain closed.
