Now that the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship campaign has reached its conclusion,, in association with Playmaker Stats, the club's official statistical partner, dissects the season into statistics...

With 10 wins, 14 draws and 22 defeats to their name, The Lions finished the year in 21st place, securing Sky Bet Championship football for a third consecutive season on the penultimate weekend, following a 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

After three back-to-back draws in all competitions, a first win of the season came on 18th August, as Play-Off Finalists Derby County were beaten 2-1 at The Den. The final success was the 2-0 victory over fellow top six contenders West Bromwich Albion on 6th April, with Ryan Tunnicliffe finding the target in addition to Ahmed Hegazi's own-goal.

Jake Cooper became the only man to play all 46 League matches throughout the EFL campaign, totalling 4,140 minutes, with the defender missing just two Carabao Cup matches, at home to Gillingham and Plymouth Argyle, featuring in all of The Lions' Emirates FA Cup run.

Following just behind Cooper was Jed Wallace, who completed 3,685 minutes on the pitch, whilst Lee Gregory (3,636), Mahlon Romeo (3,619) and Ryan Leonard (3,238) all featured on the list of most-used Lions in 2018/19.

In addition to his 10 League goals, Gregory assisted seven times in The Championship, with Cooper and veteran Steve Morison lending their weight six times each. Winger Shane Ferguson chipped in with four assists on his way to claiming a place in the top three in the Player of the Year vote.

Cooper, who finished alongside Gregory and Ferguson in the vote, was involved in 12 goals over the course of the League campaign, adding to his assists tally with six goals. No defender was involved in more League goals than Cooper in 2018/19 (tied with Joe Jacobson - 7G, 5A - of Wycombe Wanderers).

The defender was also heavily involved in other aspects of The Lions' play, including most accurate long passes (202), most passes (1,626) and most headers won (286), whilst the best goals/games ratio went to Ben Thompson (0.31). Jed Wallace made 58 successful dribbles - the most in the squad - whilst Ferguson executed 55 key passes.

Of Millwall's 48 goals scored in the League, 26 were scored at The Den, with 22 coming on the road. The Lions, despite their final League position, scored in 31 of their 46 games and kept 11 clean sheets, with the most productive time to score happening in the first 30 minutes of the second-half - 18 goals were scored during this time.

A total of 43 goals were netted from inside the penalty area, with 25 coming from the right foot, 11 from the left and 10 from headers.

With 10 goals scored from corners (only Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United scored more this season) and 21 from deadball situations, The Lions' threat from set-pieces in 2018/19 was key to survival. Millwall won 1,500 aerial duels during the course of the season; only Birmingham (1,580) and Rotherham United (1,533) won more.

Meanwhile, Millwall were one of only three teams not to pick up a single straight red card in 2018/19. The only player to be given his marching orders in the League was Ryan Leonard, who picked up two first-half bookings in the November loss to Birmingham at The Den.
