Alex Pearce makes Millwall move permanent

Defender signs on...

14 May 2019

Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that Alex Pearce has agreed a permanent deal at The Den.

The defender, who joined The Lions on loan from Derby County in January 2019, will become a member of Neil Harris' squad from 1st July, following the expiration of his Rams contract.

The 30-year-old made his Millwall debut in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round victory over Hull City at The Den, and went to make 15 appearances in a Lions shirt, scoring one memorable goal in the Quarter-Final tie with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Pearce also took the captain's armband for the first time in March's 2-0 success at Birmingham City, and proved to be an integral part of The Lions' bid to secure Sky Bet Championship survival - which was completed during the penultimate weekend of the campaign.

The centre-back becomes Harris' first signing of the summer, with preparations for the 2019/20 season already underway.
