Millwall Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Matt Smith from Queens Park Rangers.
The 30-year-old joins The Lions for an undisclosed fee.
Smith – who stands at a commanding 6’6’’ – made over 100 competitive appearances for QPR, scoring 23 goals after signing from neighbours Fulham in 2017.
After leaving Cheltenham Town’s youth setup as a teenager, Smith rebuilt his career in non-League, striking up a prolific record with clubs such as Redditch United and Solihull Moors.
The towering forward was then given his bow in the EFL with a move to Oldham Athletic in 2011, making 75 appearances. Smith later played for Leeds United, scoring 12 Championship goals in 42 games.
Smith joins having netted eight goals last campaign. He will wear Millwall's number 10 shirt.
