Preview | Millwall v Rotherham United

Lions host Millers in crucial meeting...

1 February 2019

Millwall return to Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday afternoon as they take on Rotherham United at The Den (kick-off 3pm).

The Lions head into this particular crunch clash in fine form, having knocked Premier League side Everton out of the Emirates FA Cup in dramatic circumstances last weekend, and claiming 10 points from 15 in the League since Boxing Day.

Neil Harris' side sit five points above the relegation zone in The Championship, and four above this weekend's opponents, meaning Saturday's game takes on extra importance in the club's bid to drive themselves away from danger at the wrong end of the table.

The manager will have Ben Thompson, Ben Marshall and Fred Onyedinma at his disposal once more this weekend after the trio missed the Toffees Cup-tie through ineligibility, whilst Jed Wallace will be assessed before kick-off having sat out the Everton giant-killing through injury.

Ben Amos, Conor McLaughlin, Tom Bradshaw and Tom Elliott remain absentees.

Tickets for Saturday's crucial encounter are on sale right up until kick-off and can be purchased by clicking here. If you are unable to make it to The Den, then full match commentary will be available on iFollow Millwall, whilst international subscribers will be able to watch all the action from South Bermondsey on iFollow. Away from the match, Millwall supporter Ayse Smith will once more be collecting sleeping bags and winter wear for homeless veterans - please give generously amidst this current cold snap.

The club will also remember those supporters lost in 2018 as Millwall hosts its second annual 'Memorial Day'. Names sent in will appear in the matchday programme and on the big screen prior to kick-off, where a minute's applause will take place.

Saturday's matchday programme continues to commemorate Millwall's 25 years at The 'new' Den, and this particular issue takes a look back at the 2007/8 season - a campaign in which The Lions started on the upward curve once more under Kenny Jackett. We speak to right-back Danny Senda about his time at The Den.

Furthermore, Aiden O'Brien is the cover star, with an in-depth interview with the attacker inside about a matter of subjects, such as last weekend's famous success, his Republic of Ireland form, this weekend's game and much more.
