Millwall Football Club is delighted to confirm the arrival of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Luke Steele on a loan deal until January 2020.
Steele's Deadline Day move sees him become Neil Harris' ninth summer signing, and bulks The Lions' goalkeeping options following the opening day injury to Frank Fielding.
The 34-year-old boasts a wealth of experience at Championship level, and has also competed in European competition.
Steele began his career on the books of hometown club Peterborough United, earning attention from Manchester United in the process - signing for The Red Devils in 2002. After a loan move to Coventry City and a permanent departure from Old Trafford to join West Bromwich Albion, Steele joined Barnsley on loan in 2008.
The 6'2'' stopper went on to sign a contract at Oakwell, making over 200 Barnsley appearances across seven seasons - each competing in the Championship as he became The Reds' established first-choice goalkeeper.
Steele then made a bold move to the Greek Super League to join Panathinaikos, again working to a starting berth and playing numerous UEFA Europa League matches for the club. He would join Bristol City in 2017, making 10 appearances before moving on to Nottingham Forest and making seven outings.
