Millwall Football Club's award-winning BASICS matchday medical service at The Den is looking for a new team member.
Providing cover for the public and staff on matchdays, the role means a very varied range of presentations and situations and, as with any event cover, you also must be prepared to deal with major incidents or other emergency situations.
Millwall are research active and work closely with partners the London Ambulance Service and St John Ambulance volunteers. The medical team are looking for someone who is GMC (post Foundation), NMC or HCPC registered. If NMC or HCPC registered, the team would like a to recruit a member who is capable of working at an advanced practice role, for example an ANP or Advanced Paramedic Practitioner.
People with PHEC/DipIMC/ACP MSc/V300/FA Crowd course or equivalent would be particularly welcomed, but this is not essential, whilst the team also participate in some club, charitable and supporter-led health promotion activities.
The team welcome a range of experience which meets the needs of our patients, and complements our existing team, such as experience in ED, pre-hospital care, primary care or acute medicine. An inclusive self-organised team approach is in operation.
This work is sessional work, and so professional indemnity insurance through a professional association is essential. You must be able to commit to at least six home games per season.
