Millwall's Under 23s fell to a 2-1 defeat in their final Professional Development League away match of the season at Nottingham Forest on Monday night.
Trialist Albert Hopkins gave Kevin Nugent's side the lead in the first-half, but the game was turned on its head by Brennan Johnson's brace either side of the break.
After an opening period of chances, The Lions took the lead after Hopkins' effort was deflected past Forest goalkeeper George Shelvey.
Tyrese Fornah, however, ensured that the lead wouldn't last long, assisting Johnson for his first four minutes before half-time, with the goalscorer converting Jake Taylor's cross on the volley in the second-half to secure all three points.
Next up for Nugent's outfit is the visit of Sheffield United to Calmont Road next Monday - their final match of the campaign.
Millwall: King, Hanson, Tiensia, Skeffington (Muller), Debrah, Ransom, Hopkins, Duncan, Alexander, Saunders-Henry, White. Subs not used: Topalloj, Wright, Davis, Stojsavljevic.
