Preview | Aston Villa v Millwall

Villa Park in focus...

21 April 2019

Millwall make the trip to high-flying Aston Villa in the Sky Bet Championship on Easter Monday (kick-off 1pm).

The Villa Park outfit are currently on a run of nine straight wins in the League, but The Lions take an unbeaten sequence of their own to the Midlands, having now gone four games without defeat, with just one League loss in six games to their name.

Neil Harris will have mostly the same squad to select from for the journey, but Ben Thompson's fitness will be assessed after his early withdrawal in Good Friday's 1-1 draw with Brentford at The Den. Tom Bradshaw is the only other absentee, whilst Shaun Hutchinson will also come into the reckoning for the trip.

Around 1,400 Lions fans have snapped up tickets for the trip, but if you are not one of them, then full match commentary will be available on iFollow Millwall, with coverage starting at around 12.50pm. International subscribers can watch all the action from Villa Park, and can find out more by clicking here. UK subscribers unable to attend can also watch - more details can be found here.

Defender Alex Pearce has been speaking to millwallfc.co.uk in the wake of Friday's draw and in the build-up to Monday's encounter, and you can read what he had to say in the build-up to kick-off, whilst Aston Villa's 'Season So Far' and our statistical preview of the game can be viewed by clicking the relevant links.
