Under 23s fight back to claim Cardiff draw

Young Lions go five games unbeaten...

24 September 2018

Michel Parker and Joe Wicks found the net as Millwall's Under 23s came back from 2-0 down to draw with Cardiff City at the Leckwith International Stadium in the Professional Development League on Monday afternoon.

The point ensures Kevin Nugent's side keep up their unbeaten run, now standing at five matches.

Cameron Coxe set up Kadeem Harris to open the scoring in just the fourth minute with a curling effort, with the lead doubled by Harris shortly before the half-time break from the penalty spot.

However, the Under 23s were not to be denied, as first Parker tapped home from close range to reduce the deficit before Wicks converted two minutes from time to secure a draw.

Next up for the young Lions is a local derby with Charlton Athletic at Calmont Road next Monday afternoon.

Millwall: Sandford, Brown, McNamara, Parker, Debrah, Stojsavljevic, Harvey (Davis 75’), Wicks, Alexander, Olaofe, Saunders-Henry. Subs not used: Topalloj, Wright, Mitchell, Skeffington.
