17 September 2018

Throughout 2018/19, millwallfc.co.uk will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...

Ben Thompson – Portsmouth

Ben Thompson was part of Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth squad as the South Coast side rose to the top of Sky Bet League One, with a 2-1 win away at previous League leaders Peterborough United on Saturday. Ben came off the bench in the closing minutes to see out the win, and will be hoping to force his way back into the starting XI next week as the team host Fred Onyedinma's Wycombe Wanderers.

Sid Nelson – Swindon Town

Sid Nelson continued his run in the Swindon Town side as The Robins endured mixed fortunes across two home matches in the past week. Phil Brown's men secured a win and a clean sheet last Tuesday, enjoying a 1-0 win over Newport County, before going down 2-1 against Bury at the weekend. Having become a mainstay of the defence at the County Ground, Sid will be hoping to return to winning ways in Sky Bet League Two at Yeovil Town next week.

Tom King – AFC Wimbledon

Tom King started and played the full 90 minutes again for AFC Wimbledon on Saturday but was unable to prevent The Dons going down 3-2 in an entertaining clash against Scunthorpe United at Kingsmeadow. Having gone through a period of mixed form in recent weeks, Neal Ardley's side now face Swansea City's U21s and Accrington Stanley in the next week.

Fred Onyedinma – Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma also played the full match on Saturday, starting in attack for Wycombe as they played out a goalless draw at Adams Park against Oxford United, continuing the two sides' identical run of results in all competitions over the last five games. The Chairboys host Fulham's youngsters in the Checkatrade Trophy this week, before taking on Ben Thompson's table-topping Portsmouth side next weekend.

Harry Donovan – Dagenham & Redbridge

Harry Donovan's Dagenham remain clear of the relegation places in the Vanarama National League, taking a point from their weekend home clash with Chesterfield. The midfielder was an unused substitute for the game, seeking to retrieve his place in the team for The Daggers' next fixture away at Eastleigh next Saturday.
