The latest on our players out on loan deals…

10 September 2018

Throughout 2018/19, will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...

Ben Thompson – Portsmouth

Ben Thompson continued in his starting berth for Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon as Kenny Jackett’s side fought back to draw 1-1 with Shrewsbury Town at Fratton Park. Ben played the first half of the clash in the Sky Bet League One – in which the side sit second – whilst also among the substitutes as Pompey enjoyed a 4-0 success over Gillingham in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Sid Nelson – Swindon Town

Sid Nelson played a key role for Swindon Town at the weekend as The Robins survived a first-half red card to pick up a 1-0 away victory at Morecambe in the Sky Bet League Two. Sid played the full 90 minutes and was instrumental in helping Phil Brown’s team pick up a vital win and clean sheet, lifting them into the Play-Off places.

Tom King – AFC Wimbledon

Tom King again featured in goal for Wimbledon as Neal Ardley’s side returned to winning ways against Gillingham on Saturday. The 1-0 win represented Tom’s fourth clean sheet of the campaign, with the goalkeeper rested for The Dons’ penalties win following a 2-2 Checkatrade Trophy draw with Charlton Athletic last Tuesday night.

Fred Onyedinma – Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma experienced mixed fortunes with Wycombe Wanderers over the past week with a win and a defeat. Fred started in Wycombe’s 1-0 Checkatrade Trophy win at Northampton Town – playing an hour – before coming on for the last 33 minutes of a narrow 3-2 League defeat at Charlton Athletic.

Harry Donovan – Dagenham & Redbridge

Harry Donovan starred for Dagenham in the second of their crucial first two victories which both arrived this week in the Vanarama National League. Whilst an unused substitute last Tuesday as The Daggers ground out a 1-0 home win over Braintree Town, Harry was back in the starting line-up as Peter Taylor’s side picked up a second win and clean sheet following a long trip to Barrow.

Be sure to keep up with Loan Watch throughout the season as we keep track of the progress of all our lads during their loan periods.
