George Alexander's late winning goal secured a third successive win for Millwall's Under 23s in the Professional Development League on Monday afternoon as Kevin Nugent's young Lions defeated Burnley 2-1.
Millwall took the lead in just the third minute as Lewis White turned Isaac Olaofe's cross home, but Tinashe Chakwana levelled proceedings with 19 minutes on the clock.
Olaofe and Jesse Debrah had second-half opportunities to grab the lead once more but it looked as though a draw was on the cards - that was, however, until Alexander - son of ex-striker Gary - slammed the ball home from close range to secure victory.
Next up for the Under 23s is the visit of Bristol City to Calmont Road next Monday afternoon.
Millwall: Sandford, McNamara, M. Parker, Hanson, Debrah, Stojsavljevic, Harvey, Wicks, Olaofe, White, Saunders-Henry. Subs: Topalloj, Wright, Mitchell, Alexander, F. Parker.
