Remembrance Day at The Den

Millwall remembers...

29 October 2018

Millwall's annual Remembrance Day match took place at The Den on Saturday afternoon as The Lions defeated Ipswich Town 3-0 in the Sky Bet Championship.

A range of activities took place around the ground before kick-off, culminating with service personnel welcoming the teams and match officials on to the pitch, with the Last Post followed by a minute's silence and the Reveille minutes before the action got underway. Wreaths were then laid behind the goal at the Cold Blow Lane end.

Furthermore, Huski Chocolate were on hand to sell their hot chocolate drink and commemorative mugs in aid of the Poppy Appeal, whilst bucket collectors were also situated around The Den raising funds - with a final total to be revealed in the coming days.

Away from Remembrance Day, new British Welterweight champion Johnny Garton was presented on the pitch at the weekend - The Pexican defeated Gary Corcoran to win the title at the Brentwood Centre.

Take a look at all the goings on in our gallery above.
