The latest news of our players out on loan

8 October 2018

Throughout 2018/19, will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...

Ben Thompson - Portsmouth

Ben Thompson played the second half of Portsmouth’s first defeat in Sky Bet League One this season, as Steve Lovell’s Gillingham managed an impressive 2-0 victory at Fratton Park. Kenny Jackett’s side conceded two first-half strikes, before the half-time introduction of Ben. The midfielder also played the final 20 minutes of Tuesday’s 1-0 win for Pompey at Coventry City, helping to see out the three points.

Sid Nelson - Swindon Town

Sid Nelson was again at the heart of the Swindon Town back line as Phil Brown’s side were narrowly beaten through a second-half Crewe Alexandra strike on Tuesday. Sid was then out of the following match against Northampton Town at the weekend, which The Robins drew 1-1.

Tom King - AFC Wimbledon

Tom King was on the bench for AFC Wimbledon’s two recent matches, both of which were frustratingly lost by a solitary goal to Bradford City and Plymouth Argyle. Tom continues to fight for a return to the sticks with goalkeeping teammate Joe McDonnell.

Fred Onyedinma - Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma was a late substitute for Wycombe Wanderers in both games as they collected four points from a possible six in the past seven days. Following Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town, Gareth Ainsworth’s team then battled to a 2-1 home win over Burton Albion at the weekend.

Harry Donovan - Dagenham & Redbridge

Harry Donovan started for Dagenham & Redbridge in their weekend match at Gateshead, which The Daggers lost 2-0 thanks to first-half strikes from the North East outfit. The combative midfielder played 76 minutes in the defeat.
