The latest from our players out on loan...

22 October 2018

Throughout 2018/19, will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...

Ben Thompson - Portsmouth

Ben Thompson delivered a tremendous display on Saturday as Portsmouth soared six points clear at the top of Sky Bet League One, with Oli Hawkins’ solitary goal seeing Kenny Jackett’s side victorious over Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town. The midfield man played the full match in a central role at Fratton Park and picked up a deserved Man of the Match award as Pompey extended their lead at the summit.

Fred Onyedinma - Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma stole headlines for Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, curling home a stunning equaliser as Gareth Ainsworth’s side came from two goals down to dramatically beat Scunthorpe United at Adams Park. The second-half strike saw Fred open his account for the club, as he starred for the full match to lift The Chairboys into 17th in League One.

Harry Donovan - Dagenham & Redbridge

Harry Donovan also played the full 90 in another pulsating encounter, as Dagenham & Redbridge produced a late showing to stay in the Emirates FA Cup ahead of the First Round draw. Visiting Boreham Wood in the final qualifier before the introduction of League One and Two clubs, a 2-0 deficit going into stoppage time was not to faze The Daggers, who netted in the 92nd and 94th minutes to secure a replay.

Sid Nelson - Swindon Town

Sid Nelson played the full 90 minutes on Saturday and kept a clean sheet as Swindon Town played out a stalemate at the Energy Check County Ground against Mansfield Town. The Robins sit 12th in Sky Bet League Two following the goalless draw, four points outside the Play-Off places.

Tom King - AFC Wimbledon

Tom King was an unused substitute for AFC Wimbledon at the weekend, as goals either side of half-time saw Blackpool claim the points against The Dons at Bloomfield Road with a 2-0 win. The defeat for Neal Ardley’s men leaves them 21st in League One, in the drop zone on goal difference.
