Loan Watch: Four players on winning side

Throughout 2018/19, will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...


Ben Thompson – Portsmouth

Ben Thompson and Portsmouth continued their table-topping form with another away victory in Sky Bet League One, beating Scunthorpe United with a 2-1 scoreline. The midfield man again played the full match for Kenny Jackett's side, further establishing his place in the middle of the park.

Fred Onyedinma – Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma started for Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, moving into the top half of League One with a 3-2 home victory over Shrewsbury Town. Fred starred in the win for Gareth Ainsworth's side before being replaced in the dying seconds of the game.

Sid Nelson – Swindon Town

Sid Nelson played 90 minutes for Swindon Town as they secured their first win under Richie Wellens at Port Vale in Sky Bet League Two. The Robins maintained an early lead to see out the game 1-0, with Sid at the heart of the defence to keep a clean sheet.

Tom King – AFC Wimbledon

Tom King was on the bench for AFC Wimbledon as they picked up a valuable League One win over Southend United. The Dons came from behind to claim the three points, closing the gap to four points adrift of safety.

Dan McNamara – Welling United

Dan McNamara featured for Welling United in Buildbase FA Trophy action on Saturday afternoon, playing out a 1-1 draw with Dulwich Hamlet at Park View Road. The replay of the Cup tie takes place in South London on Wednesday night, as The Wings aim to advance to the First Round Proper.
