Find out the latest from our lads out on loan

5 November 2018

Throughout 2018/19, will keep up with the news of our players out on loan deals. Here we have the latest on the five Lions currently with their respective temporary clubs...

Ben Thompson - Portsmouth

Ben Thompson continued his fine form for Portsmouth on Saturday as Kenny Jackett’s men stayed at the summit of Sky Bet League One with a 1-0 win at bottom side Bradford City. Ben featured for the full match as Pompey stole the three points with an early Gareth Evans goal.

Fred Onyedinma - Wycombe Wanderers

Fred Onyedinma was also on the winning side in League One, playing the whole 90 minutes as Wycombe Wanderers ground out an impressive win against promotion hopefuls Peterborough United. The Chairboys rise to 15th following the victory, thanks to Bryn Morris’ second-half winner at Adams Park.

Sid Nelson - Swindon Town

Sid Nelson started for Swindon Town at the weekend as the side were narrowly beaten away at Colchester United. The Essex outfit took the points as Sammie Szmodics struck in first-half stoppage time to move up to third in Sky Bet League Two. Phil Brown’s side end the weekend in 16th.

Tom King - AFC Wimbledon

Tom King was amongst the substitutes for AFC Wimbledon as they were defeated by Shrewsbury Town at Kingsmeadow. James Hanson gave The Dons a first-half lead as they looked to avoid their seventh straight defeat, before the Shropshire visitors secured a 2-1 win after the break with a Luke Waterfall brace. Sitting 23rd in League One, Wimbledon return to action on Tuesday night – a Checkatrade Trophy meeting with Stevenage.

Harry Donovan - Dagenham & Redbridge

Harry Donovan’s Dagenham & Redbridge had mixed fortunes in the past week with one win from two games in the Vanarama National League. Harry entered the fray from the bench in Tuesday night’s 2-0 victory at Dover Athletic, and again came on late in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Sutton United. The Daggers sit 22nd, two points adrift of safety.
